Perfect. Most lessons here are built for first-timers. Filter by Beginner and you’ll only see instructors who teach it, at gentle waves like Cerritos and Old Man’s. Most people stand up in their first session.
Each listing spells out exactly what’s included. Most lessons cover the board, leash, and rash guard. The price you see is the price you pay at checkout; your instructor sorts the right gear once you’ve booked.
Your instructor reaches out before your session to ask the questions that matter: your experience, the board that fits you, and exactly where and when to meet. By the time you hit the sand, there’s nothing left to figure out.
Your instructor reads the forecast and will move your session to where it’s working that morning, or help you reschedule. That local knowledge is the whole point of booking a local.
Yes. Each listing shows how many people it covers, and several instructors run group and family sessions with extra coaches. For a bigger crew, book back-to-back sessions.
